Our 2022 5th is an eloquent and passionate blend. It reflects the harmony of the elements, each doing its parts without compromising the others.
This proprietary blend has 4 grape varieties as the core with a “5th Element” being the final touch, elevating the aromatics and giving an extra layer of Complexity.
Cabernet Franc being the dominant varietal delivers the elegance and character combining red fruit, cinnamon and pipe tobacco, whereas Cabernet Sauvignon following right after, provides the deep core and structure along with hints of blackberry, peppercorn and light smokiness.
Syrah and Petit Sirah add a transcendental purity and vibrancy forming an almost floral undertone with baking spices and ripe plums.
Finally, the 5th Element, just 1% of the total blend but sufficient to lift all other 4 to an ethereal state. Viognier, highly aromatic and tannic, it’s the perfect glue to keep this blend together.
