The Land

At Auxor Cellars, our vineyards are managed using holistic agricultural approach called Biodynamic, that treats the farm as a self-sustaining ecosystem, focusing on soil health, biodiversity, and the influence of lunar and planetary rhythms. It emphasizes organic practices, using compost and natural preparations to enhance soil fertility and plant vitality. Key aspects of biodynamic vineyard management include maintaining healthy soils through composting, promoting biodiversity with companion plants and natural pest control, and aligning vineyard tasks with celestial cycles. The goal is to create a balanced, regenerative system that produces high-quality grapes while sustaining the environment.

DEVIL’S VINEYARD

A charming vineyard nestled at the base of Mount Diablo exemplifies intimacy and uniqueness, thanks to the devoted care it receives. The entrance, adorned with vines and flowers, welcomes visitors into a tranquil space filled with the scent of blossoms. The small size of the vineyard allows for meticulous attention to each vine, resulting in grapes with remarkable character. The proximity to Mount Diablo provides a cooling breeze that enhances the elegance of the wine. During harvest, dedicated workers handpick the grapes, leading to the creation of small-batch, handcrafted wines that embody the vineyard’s essence and terroir. This vineyard highlights that great things can come in small packages.
