Meet the Winemaker
Born in Mendoza, Argentina, Patricio Paso Viola began his journey in wine with a background in chemical engineering and a fascination for the delicate balance between science, nature, and intuition.
His winemaking path has taken him across some of the world’s most celebrated wine regions, including Mendoza, McLaren Vale, Saint-Émilion, Napa Valley, Russian River, Carneros, and Suisun Valley. Along the way, he developed a style grounded in precision, curiosity, and respect for the individuality of every vineyard.
Patricio is part of a new generation of talented winemakers leaving a distinctive mark on the American wine industry—bringing an international perspective while challenging convention and creating wines with personality, depth, and purpose.
Through Auxor Cellars, he brings together his scientific background, global experience, and fascination with alchemy to create limited-production wines that are expressive, thoughtful, and unmistakably his own.
